No longer possible to suspend disbelief
Rating: 1/5
With much suspension of disbelief it was possible to enjoy the first season. But now, for example, a character who is "running in fear of her life" enters high school, lives in beautiful house with her family, and doesn't even dress down - it's just too far over the limit. The "revelation" at the end of the last series that there's someone even worse than Skylar is lame and predictable. The plot device where someone who is good turns out to be evil and vice versa has now been so overused, it undercuts the believability of all the main characters, and the writing now seems focused on creating a string dramatic moments, rather a coherent plot.
Good, but short
Rating: 4/5
I was a little disappointed in the 2nd season of Heroes. Not because of the acting, but because it was so short. Turns out this was filmed during the writers' strike, so they had to cut the season down to eleven episodes.
This meant that the story-lines weren't as fully explored as they could have been, and there was a lot less content.
All of that detracted from an otherwise entertaining show.
Moving on to Season 3....
To All Heroes Fanatics!!

Brilliant. Brilliant. Brilliant. Just like Season #1, #3 and #4. Anyone who is a fan has to have this on the movie shelf!
A fun ride!

Everyone give Season two crap and prior to seeing it I too was hesitant but I gave Heroes the benefit of the doubt(as everyone else should) and watched it moving all other comments to the back of my head. I was very suprised at the quality of S2. It was fun! Seriously you have Hiro in 1671 Japan working with his hero who has a ability of regeneration to spice things up(just watch what happens when Hiro gets back!). One of Issac Mendez's last pieces of work before he got Sylar-ized shows HRG getting shot in the eye as Claire is with some boy. To top all this off Peter has amnesia and goes into the future to discover 93% of the worl's population will die form a lethal virus. Seriously look at all these storylines and imagine how they all mesh together, what they weave is a epic story.
Sure it's short, less than half the size of S1, that a shame too, seeing how many storylines they had planned(plans included in the extras). This season was still not even remotely considered bad.The acting is still phenomonal and characters relationships and decisions set up for the insane events of season 3. This season was more action packed than season one but not quite as deep as its predecesor, but by no means is this season an embaressment.
As for the extras its impressively loaded, included an alternate ending of what happened if Peter did not stop the virus, something that would have been interesting to see in season one. Don't feel too bad about the lack of episodes(blame the writers strike if you have to blame anyone), because Kring and his band of merrymen have loaded the set with lots of extras.
This is a must have item for Heroes fans!
Waste of Time and Money
Rating: 1/5
A friend told me to try Heroes because he thought it was awesome. First season was ok . . . possibly promising, but nothing to get excited about. Second season DVDs might as well be used as coasters. Its abysmal. The writing doesn't make sense. The plot is as much a train wreck as the one Claire walked into in season one. The acting is about a step above SNL acting. A really terrible rendering of something that could have been good.
